Abstract

Study aims: The study aims to examine the effect of self-efficacy training in reducing the tendency to relapse on substance abusers. Methods: This is a quasi-experimental study with a one group pretest-posttest design. Six drug addicts receive Self-Efficacy Training.  The Relapse Tendency Scale was carried out before and after training. Results: The results of non-parametric statistical analysis using Wilcoxon test showed a significant difference between the pretest and posttest scores of the study participants on the relapse tendency scale (p = 0.018). Conclusion: Self-efficacy training can be used as a support program to prevent relapse on substance abusers.
